The questions that keep coming back, with short answers. If yours isn't here, write to us: we answer.
Selling
What does posting a listing cost?
Nothing. No insertion fee, no commission on the sale, no paid option to push a listing back up. That is the model, not a launch offer.
How long does a listing stay online?
Sixty days. After that it expires on its own, which keeps the catalogue from filling up with things that are long gone.
Is an expired listing lost?
No. From “My listings” you republish it in one move: it runs for another sixty days and comes back among the recent results.
How do I mark a listing as sold?
From “My listings”, choose “Mark as sold”, then name the buyer among the people who wrote to you. That naming is what opens the reviews, on both sides.
Buying and paying
How does payment work?
Between the two of you, at the handover. okazio handles no payments and holds no money: nobody can therefore ask you to pay “through okazio”.
What should I do if a message looks suspicious?
The messaging recognises the known manoeuvres and names them, rather than showing a vague warning. You can block the person — the conversation then closes on both sides — and report them. The scam guide sets out all thirteen patterns.
Where do the vehicle listings come from?
Some reach us from DriveRide, a service from the same house. They carry a note of where they come from and link back to it: their seller has no account here, so no messaging, no offer, no review.
Account, data and trust
How do the reviews work?
After a sale, each side has fourteen days to rate the other. Nothing shows until both have written, or the window has closed: nobody can answer a bad rating with another one.
Do I need an account to browse listings?
No. Search, category pages and listings are open to everyone. An account is only needed to post, to write to someone and to save favourites.
Can I get back or delete my data?
Yes, from your account. The export hands you everything we keep about you. Deletion erases what identifies you and closes the account; what belongs to someone else — the messages they received, the reviews they wrote — survives without your name.
Does the site exist in other languages?
In French, German, Italian and English. Search goes beyond the display language: a listing posted in French comes up on a German search.
Using artificial intelligence
Can I post a listing without AI?
Yes. The form opens immediately: add your photos and fill in the fields. The AI buttons for the title and description are optional. Review your listing before publishing.
What should I check in an AI suggestion?
Review the title, description, category, condition and price before publishing. AI can make mistakes or infer features that are not visible in a photo. Correct any inaccurate information: you remain responsible for your listing. A suggested price does not guarantee a sale.
What precautions should I take with photos and text?
Avoid faces, identity documents, addresses and confidential information. AI features may send the necessary content to an external provider. Read the privacy policy and the list of processors before using them.
How can I follow up on a report?
Open “My reports” in your account. You will find your reference, any attached image and the status: received, under review or closed. A closed report does not necessarily mean the content was removed.
